2. Privacy-First Philosophy

Cai is built with privacy as a core principle. All AI processing happens locally on your machine. Your clipboard data and text selections never leave your computer. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal content or clipboard data.

3. Data Collection on Our Website

Server Log Files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser automatically transmits to us. These include:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. The data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

4. Local Data Processing

When you use Cai, all text processing occurs on your device through your locally installed AI platform (LM Studio, Ollama, etc.). Cai does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on our servers.

However, if you configure your local AI platform to use cloud-based AI services (such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or similar providers), your data will be transmitted to those third-party services according to their privacy policies. This is your choice and under your control through your AI platform's configuration.
